My wife told me to stop spraying oil on everything before it goes in the air fryer

Honestly, I used to give everything a light spray with canola oil, thinking it was needed for crispness. She pointed out that a lot of foods, especially fatty meats like chicken thighs or pork chops, have enough of their own fat. I tried her way with some bone-in chicken thighs last night, just a dry rub and straight in at 380 for 25 minutes. They came out perfectly crispy and way less greasy than before. I've been doing it wrong for like two years. Has anyone else cut back on the oil spray and been surprised?

Try it with frozen fries too.

Wait, you were spraying oil on chicken thighs? That's wild, they're basically swimming in their own fat already lol. I guess it's one of those things you just don't question until someone points it out.
