My brother told me to ask an AI to write a birthday poem for my mom. It rhymed 'love' with 'dove' and 'above'.

He said it would be fast and sweet. I used a free tool called VerseBot. The poem was so cheesy she thought it was a joke. Anyone else get weirdly bad creative writing from AI?

Cheesy rhymes are kind of the point with those free tools. They just mix and match the most basic phrases. What did you expect, a masterpiece? It’s a quick birthday note, not a published book. Your mom probably laughed because it was silly, not bad.

Exactly right, @terrymitchell. The cheese IS the whole point, it's supposed to be dumb fun. Getting mad about it misses the joke completely. Just roll with the silly vibe.
