Binged a 14 season show in 3 weeks and now I'm lost

So I power watched this cop drama from 2005, all 14 seasons, during a slow stretch at work last month. By season 9 I was skipping meals and dreaming in procedural jargon, my wife said I looked like a zombie. Finished the finale on a Tuesday night at like 2am and just sat there staring at the credits. Now every new show feels flat because I keep comparing it to that one. Anyone else hit a post-binge slump this bad, what did you watch next to snap out of it?

That lab tech's comment about my negatives floored me...

Dropped off a roll at Blue Moon Camera in Portland last month and the guy behind the counter asked if I was shooting at 400 but metering for 800. He was spot on, my shadows were crushed. Started compensating exposure by a half stop and rewashing a test roll, the difference in detail is night and day. Anyone else get called out like that and actually change their whole process?

Overheard a coworker say my password manager is overkill

Last week in the break room at our office in Columbus, a guy from accounting said he just uses the same password for everything because a breach 'hasn't happened to him yet.' He laughed at me for paying $36 a year for a password manager, and now I'm second-guessing whether I'm being paranoid or if he's just lucky. For those of you who've dealt with a real breach, did the extra setup actually pay off or am I wasting money?

Rant: my old lead tech taught me more in one hangar walk than 3 years of manuals

Back in 2015 I was working the night shift at a regional MRO in Phoenix. We had this old guy named Dale, must have been 60, and he watched me struggle with a wiring diagram for 20 minutes. He just walked over and said "the drawing lies, follow the wire with your fingers." That stuck with me because I found a chafed bundle behind a clamp that the schematic never showed. Has anyone else had a mentor who showed you a shortcut that no textbook ever covers?

That butter sculpture demo at the county fair got weird

I live near Clovis, so I hit the county fair last weekend and sat through a 45 minute butter carving demo... the lady was making a cow head and it was fine, but then some kid yelled out that it looked like his principal. She lost it laughing and the whole thing fell off the table. Butter everywhere on the concrete floor, and she just scooped it back up with her bare hands and kept going. I honestly couldn't tell if that was standard practice or a one time thing, but I won't be eating any fair corn dogs with extra 'butter' after that. Has anyone else seen a demo go sideways like that, or was this just a Clovis special?

Is it just me or do 2-season shows hit harder than 10-season slogs?

I burned through Dark in 5 days and then spent a whole weekend trying to convince my buddy that limited series are better, but he says he needs the long build like in The Wire, so which side are you on, and has anyone else tried rewatching a long show after a tight one and felt the pacing was off?

Had a talk with an old timer about bone dust

Got a 70 year old butcher named Frank at the shop last week who told me I was wasting time worrying about keeping my bandsaw blade sharp. He said he never changed his blade more than twice a year and his cuts were cleaner than mine. Has anyone else had an older guy tell you something that went against everything you learned in school?
