Yeah that chemical thing is interesting, makes you wonder exactly what's in tap water that holds plants back. Is it chlorine or maybe fluoride? I've seen my herbs perk up with rain water too, like they're getting something they were missing before. It's wild how plants can show you what they need just by how they look.
