inI heard a foreman say 'a good operator can make a bad crane work' and it made me angry
Honestly, everyone's talking about the operator, but what about the equipment they're forced to use? Old or broken gear makes any job way more dangerous. We gotta stop blaming people and start fixing the tools.

inSpent 4 hours yesterday because I forgot a single semicolon in my Python script
Read an article once about how our brains just skip over tiny mistakes like that when we're tired. You stare at the same lines of code for so long that you stop actually seeing them. My worst one was mixing up a single quote and a backtick in a config file, shut my whole project down for a day. That feeling when you finally spot it is equal parts relief and pure rage.

inI thought those little electric cars were just for city trips until I drove one to my sister's place in Columbus.
Right, because my gas station visits used to feel like a second car payment. Now I just plug in at home and my biggest worry is if the dog tripped over the cord again. It's wild how normal it feels to not have that pump sticker shock every single week.

inUpdate: I gave up on the old band saw for breaking down whole lambs
Karen's right about hogs, the hand saw trick works there too. I use a bone saw to split the chine before going in with the cleaver, saves a ton of wear on my electric saw. You get a cleaner cut through all that fat and gristle.
