I thought those little electric cars were just for city trips until I drove one to my sister's place in Columbus.
My buddy let me borrow his Chevy Bolt for the weekend, and I made the 140 mile round trip with 30 miles left on the battery. I was sure I'd need to stop and charge, but I just plugged it into a normal outlet at her house overnight. Has anyone else been surprised by how far you can actually go on a single charge?

Forget the range, the real shock for me was how cheap it is. My electric bill went up maybe twelve bucks that month after several long trips. You don't realize how much you're spending on gas until it just stops.

Right, because my gas station visits used to feel like a second car payment. Now I just plug in at home and my biggest worry is if the dog tripped over the cord again. It's wild how normal it feels to not have that pump sticker shock every single week.
