California passed a law a while back against those stickers. It's about time companies stop SCARING people into paying for repairs they could do themselves. I've seen friends hesitate to open up their gadgets because of that little warning. Jamiesingh is right, and more places should follow suit. It just feels like a cheap way to control what you own.

Come on, that's just praising wasted time. In real life, time is money, and hand-sanding for hours is not wise. A power sander does it fast with the same result. Feeling the wood might be nice, but it doesn't make the job worth the wait. Hand-sharpening a pencil is just as slow for no real gain. Why waste time when you can get it done quick?

At my uncle's cabin last fall, his friend tried the nail polish trick on a .308 scope mount. By the end of the day, that scope was so loose you could turn it by hand.
