I saw anchor scars on a reef and it's pure negligence

My dive yesterday showed fresh marks from a boat anchor crushing coral. This lazy move ruins habitats and spoils the spot for future divers. How can we let this keep happening?

Why do boaters still drop anchors on reefs, when I always report them after taking photos?

Yeah, the reporting part is key but it feels like nothing happens after. Maybe they need to actually lose their license or pay huge fines for it to stop.

Honestly, I used to believe reporting was enough. But @kevin_bailey is right, without real penalties it just keeps happening. Seeing no action taken changed my mind.
