Pro tip: My reality TV break turned me into a relationship analyst
Tbh, I quit binge-watching those chaotic dating programs to focus on work. Honestly, now I can't help but dissect every couple's argument like it's a staged confrontation. Ngl, does anyone else start seeing producer manipulation in their own social circles?

You mentioned seeing producer manipulation in your own social circles, and that's where you might be overthinking it. Real arguments have real feelings behind them, even if TV shows fake them. Isn't it a bit cynical to assume your friends are putting on a performance? Maybe the shows just made you more aware of how people act, not that everyone is acting.

Actually, I went through something like that too. What helped me was taking a step back and reminding myself that real life isn't scripted. Like @garcia.mia said, friends can perform without knowing, but I try to focus on their genuine feelings. It's easy to overanalyze, but I found that asking directly instead of assuming cleared things up. Now I enjoy watching people without letting TV habits mess with my real friendships.
