Seeing strangers collaborate on the park's light display made me question my assumptions about anonymity.

I always thought that anonymous individuals in public places remained isolated by default. Observing how groups spontaneously worked together to trigger the new interactive lights in Riverside Park showed me that shared goals can break down social barriers. What local phenomena have made you reconsider a basic psychological concept?

Shared goals breaking anonymity barriers is a real phenomenon.

Used to think people online stayed anonymous no matter what. Seeing folks team up for a cause totally changed my mind (happened last month on a neighborhood app).

It proves anonymity crumbles when people unite around a common objective.
