My friend grabbed one of those short meditation guides at our farmer's market too! She was so stressed from her new job. The little 5 minute breathing exercise one really stuck with her, and she said after two weeks she just felt a lot calmer starting her day.

Honestly, that reminds me of my cousin who found some yoga DVDs at a library sale last month. She was totally overwhelmed with her college finals and those old videos had simple breathing drills. The instructor wore this bright neon spandex outfit from the 80s, but she stuck with the routine every morning. It really helped her focus before exams, which was surprising because she usually hates waking up early. Now she's into trying different relaxation tricks from weird places. Maybe I should swing by the farmer's market and look for something similar too!

But do those random finds really help long-term? I tried a meditation app from a friend and it fizzled out after a week, lol. Sticking with it seems more important than where the idea comes from.
