Nearly dropped a large pane because my gloves were too slick.
Upgrade your grip gear before handling heavy glass, it's not worth the risk.

Learned that the hard way trying to adjust a picture frame last week (it did not go well). My hands just decided to take the day off. Good grip is seriously non-negotiable with the heavy stuff.

Ugh, I feel that! I dropped like three plates last month because my grip felt like butter.
