Hot take: A client ghosted me after I finished a $1500 logo project, so I sent a final invoice with a late fee after 30 days and they paid it immediately.
I was working from my home office in Portland, the payment was 60 days overdue, and I added a 5% fee which finally got a response and the full amount, so do you think that's a good move or does it just burn bridges?

My buddy had a client vanish after a website redesign, around two grand. He waited 45 days, sent the final bill with a 10% late fee, and got a nasty email calling him unprofessional. But the payment, plus the fee, cleared the next day. They never worked together again, but the bridge was already ash. He got his money, and that was the whole point.
