Unpopular opinion: I used to think adding a drop of glycerin to ink was a pointless gimmick, but a mix for my friend in Phoenix who hates dry inks changed my mind completely.
After she said my standard blue-black was 'like writing with chalk' in her dry climate, I added just 0.5ml of vegetable glycerin to a 30ml batch, and now she says it's the smoothest ink she's ever used. What's one thing you added to a mix that you thought would ruin it but actually worked?

Yeah, I saw someone talking about adding a tiny bit of dish soap to ink to help it flow better. Sounded like it would make a bubbly mess, but they swore it just made a dry pen write perfectly.

Sounds like a weird fix for a pen, @oscarcooper. Is it really that big of a deal?
