Hit 5000 hours on the same set of heat-resistant gloves today
They're a generic brand from the supply catalog, and I honestly thought they'd be toast after a year. Anyone else get way more life out of a piece of gear than you expected?

Feel that, some of the cheapest stuff just refuses to die. I had a generic steel toe from the same kind of catalog that lasted through three different plants, the sole was completely smooth and it still passed inspection. @nora_scott86 is right to ask though, because sometimes the job itself is the real test. My old heat gloves finally gave out when a spill melted the cuff, but the palms were still weirdly solid. It's like they build them to fail in the dumbest way possible lol.
