Had to pick between a fancy new oven or fixing the old one for my bakery

My old deck oven was acting up last month, and I had to decide fast. I could either drop $8,000 on a brand new one or pay about $1,200 to have the heating element and thermostat replaced. I chose to fix the old beast. It took the repair guy three days to get the parts and do the work, but it's been running perfectly for a month now. In my experience, the old commercial gear is often built better than the new stuff anyway. Has anyone else had a piece of equipment they just couldn't bring themselves to replace?

Yeah, I get that. My car is basically held together with duct tape and hope at this point, but I just can't quit it. The new ones feel so cheap compared to my old tank. Saving that cash feels way better than a shiny new headache.
