Question about a wedding bouquet that fell apart right before the ceremony

I was setting up for a wedding at the old mill venue in town last Saturday, and the bride's bouquet just... came undone in my hands. The ribbon wrap gave way and the whole thing started to droop. I had about twenty minutes before she walked down the aisle. I had to re-wrap it with some spare floral tape and a new ribbon I keep in my emergency kit, but my hands were shaking the whole time. Has anyone else had a bouquet fail at the worst possible moment? What's your go-to fix?

Oh man, that sounds so stressful. My friend had a similar thing happen where the wire poked right through the ribbon on her sister's bouquet as she was handing it over. She basically had to do a field surgery with some green tape and a hairpin to hold it. It's wild how something so pretty can just decide to fall apart at the worst time. I mean, good on you for having that emergency kit ready to go.

Right? Those moments are pure panic.
