A bride in Dallas last month asked for a bouquet with no flowers at all

She wanted a mix of dried grasses, seed pods, and preserved eucalyptus, which was a first for me. I had to source stuff from three different suppliers to get the right textures and colors. Has anyone else gotten more requests for these kinds of arrangements lately?

Oh wow, I just did a bouquet like that last week with dried lavender and wheat!

Sounds nice but it's just a bouquet. People act like arranging some dried plants is a big artistic statement. It's flowers in a vase.

Nah you'd be surprised, a good arrangement actually has to hold together without falling apart after a day. The dried stuff especially, it's tricky to get the stems to stay put without glue or wire showing.
