Just saw a stat that vinyl plank fails way more often in basements than I realized
Read a trade report showing a 40% higher failure rate for floating floors in below-grade installs over concrete. Has anyone else switched to a glue-down method for basement jobs?

I mean, that stat feels a bit high to me. Most of the failures I've seen come from bad prep work, not the floating method itself. If the slab isn't flat or dry enough, any floor is gonna have problems. Glue down is a huge pain to remove later if there's ever a moisture issue. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather spend extra time on the subfloor prep than switch my whole install method.

Yeah, I felt the same until my last job.
