Am I the only one who used to think a 6-inch putty knife was fine for spreading floor patch until I tried a 12-inch drywall knife last month?
The wider blade lets me feather edges way smoother on big low spots in a concrete subfloor, so now I keep both in my kit for different jobs, but what's your go-to tool for patching before a glue-down install?

Seriously? It's just floor patch. My old 4 inch scraper works fine. People overthink this stuff.
