One of those weeks where nothing wanted to cooperate

I spent last Thursday trying to revive a 1992 Sony Trinitron that had no picture. Turns out a tiny capacitor on the deflection board was bulging, like the size of a pea. Has anyone else dealt with a specific model that just loves to blow the same component over and over?

I used to blame bad luck but now I check caps first every time.

That's a good rule but sometimes a problem transistor or bad solder joint is the real culprit. Ever had a cap test fine on the meter but still cause issues?
