Finally got my old Sony Walkman WM-FX10 to play again after a week of fighting with it
I was in my garage trying to replace the belts, and the tiny spring for the play button shot across the room into a pile of sawdust. I spent like 45 minutes with a magnet and a flashlight before I found it, lmao. Got it all back together and it sounds perfect now. Anyone else have a nightmare with a tiny spring on a cassette player?

Tiny springs are the worst, I once lost one in a shag carpet for three days lol.

Oh man, that reminds me of the time I was fixing a pen and the little coil inside shot out. Spent an hour crawling around on the kitchen floor looking for that thing. It's crazy how something so small can just vanish into thin air. You ever find yours after those three days, or did the carpet just eat it forever?
