Watched a denim jacket go from stiff cardboard to soft as a t-shirt after 6 wears and a salt soak
The difference was the rinse cycle with table salt locked the indigo in place, has anyone else tried this trick for keeping dark wash jeans from fading?

Never tried salt. Vinegar soak works pretty good too though.

@oscar_hunt61 Vinegar works for sure, but salt gets into the little cracks better in my experience. A salt paste left on for a few minutes does the trick if you scrub after.
