My old teacher said to never use more than three colors in a collection
Honestly, Mrs. Carter in my first year at Parsons was super strict about that 'rule of three' for color palettes. I stuck with it for ages, but my recent line for a pop-up in Portland felt way too safe and boring. Ngl, adding a fourth accent shade to a couple of pieces totally brought the whole look together. Anyone else have a design 'rule' they were taught that they ended up breaking?

My ceramics professor banned black glaze for being a cop-out.
