Hot take: The new guys keep cranking the governor rope tension way past spec thinking it's 'safer'.
Honestly, I've seen three callbacks this month in our shop alone because that extra 5 pounds of force wears the sheave grooves twice as fast and throws off the entire safety circuit calibration.
