Drywall drying times then and now, a personal take

I was on a site yesterday and it got me thinking. In the past, waiting for mud to dry could eat up a whole day. Now, with quick set stuff, we're done in hours. I kind of miss the slow pace we had. But I don't miss sitting around waiting. It's wild how much faster jobs go today. Guess that's progress for you.

Yeah, tell me about it. My landlord has the same crazy preference for instant payment, weird how that works. Guess we should all just win the lottery.

Honestly though, landlords probably need that money to hit their account fast because their mortgage payment is due the same day. Tbh, property taxes and insurance come out of that rent check too. They're basically just passing along the bank's instant payment demand to us.
