Hit the 250 bowl mark on my EQ and finally figured out the elbow pack trick

I've been using my Arizer Extreme Q for about 8 months now and last night I passed 250 bowls through it. The thing that surprised me was how much better the flavor got after I hit around bowl 200. Learned that packing the elbow screen instead of the cyclone bowl gives way denser hits. I was wasting so much herb before by just dumping it loose. The vapor stays cooler and tastes cleaner with the elbow pack too. Has anyone else noticed their device gets better after breaking in for a while?

Did you read that thread on fuckcombustion about the elbow pack heat soak time?

Did you catch that part where someone was testing different heat soak times with a stopwatch? I remember reading a post where a guy let his elbow pack sit for a full 90 seconds after the light turned green. He said it made a big difference in vapor density compared to people who hit it right away. Seemed like a solid experiment even if his methods weren't exactly lab grade. I've been doing 60 seconds myself and it works well enough.

Lab grade" is right, but that 90 second soak thing actually makes sense. I tried it myself and yeah the vapor gets noticeably thicker. I settle for about 45 seconds though, it's a good sweet spot.
