Shoutout to the old-school drafter who saved me 3 hours last Tuesday

I was stuck on a complex floor plan for a commercial build in Austin, trying to figure out why my door swings kept conflicting with the egress path. A senior guy at the firm next to our pest control office came over and pointed out I had my walls drawn at the wrong layer thickness. He said 'drafting is 90 percent settings and 10 percent drawing,' and he wasn't kidding. After fixing those layer properties, everything snapped into place in about 20 minutes. Has anyone else had a random mentor moment like that with a stranger?
