Shoutout to my new drafting chair, it was a game changer

I finally bit the bullet and spent about $350 on a proper ergonomic chair after my back was killing me from my old kitchen stool. It's only been a month, but the difference is huge, I can work a full 8 hours without that ache in my shoulders. The lumbar support and adjustable armrests were totally worth the money. I feel dumb for putting it off for so long. Anyone have tips for good posture habits to go with the new setup?

My old chair was a wooden dining chair that squeaked. It gave me a weird pain right between my shoulder blades. I used a rolled up towel for lumbar support for a solid year before I upgraded. The first week in a real chair, that specific pain just vanished.

I had a cheap office chair from a big box store for about three years, convinced it was fine. Reading your post about the towel and the shoulder pain made me remember the constant ache in my lower back I just accepted as normal. I finally broke down and got a decent chair last month, and that ache was gone in two days. It's wild how you don't realize how bad something is until you stop hurting.

But what if the pain was from bad posture, not the chair?
