My spider plant terrarium turned into a moldy mess last week

I was cleaning houses and noticed a client's closed terrarium was totally clear, so I figured mine needed more water. Turns out I was drowning it for 3 months straight. Has anyone else accidentally killed a plant by over-loving it with moisture?

Overwatering is basically plant murder with extra steps. Closed terrariums are self watering, so adding more water just creates a swamp. RIP spider plant, you drowned in love.

Sometimes that extra moisture is exactly what they crave though.
