Vent: Scored some awesome old wood for my shed build, but now I'm feeling guilty about it

I mean, maybe it's just me, but I was pumped to get this weathered barn wood for my backyard shed project. The guy selling it online gave me a great deal, and it looks perfect for what I need. When I went to pick it up, though, he kinda hinted that it came from a place that was torn down without proper permits. Now I'm torn because using reclaimed stuff seems good, but I don't want to be part of something sketchy. Idk, like, is it okay to use materials if you're not sure where they really came from? I just wanted to save some cash and do things myself. What would you guys do in this spot?

Tbh, my own shed is made from stuff I'm pretty sure fell off a truck. If yours holds together longer than mine did, you're already winning.

Feel you, @carter.john, mine's basically glorified kindling.

Man, my buddy's shed collapsed in a light breeze last year.
