My PS4 kept ejecting discs at 3am so I opened it up and found a surprise
Last Thursday my launch PS4 started spitting out discs every couple hours, always around 3am, loud beep and everything. I finally got fed up after the 5th time, grabbed my $8 tri-wing screwdriver set, and cracked the case open on my kitchen table in Columbus. Turns out the rubber foot under the eject button had swollen and was pressing the button by itself, plus there was about 4 years of dust packed into the heatsink. I cleaned it out with canned air, put a tiny piece of electrical tape over the bad contact, and taped the foot back down flat. It has run quiet for 6 days now with zero random ejections. If your console does this, has the tape fix held up for you or did you end up just replacing the whole button board?
