Finally had a perfect composting week after 4 months of trial and error

Used to think freezing scraps was totally unnecessary and just added an extra step for no reason. I was stubborn about it for months, kept telling myself my worms would just deal with it eventually. But after dealing with a nasty fruit fly infestation that spread to my houseplants I finally caved and tried it. Now I genuinely don't think I'll ever go back. The frozen scraps break down way faster once they thaw and somehow the smell is almost nonexistent compared to room temp food. My worms seem to actually prefer it too they swarm the frozen chunks way more than fresh stuff. You've converted me into a believer.

My neighbor Bill said I could just use duct tape on a plumbing leak

Haven't we all used duct tape for something it wasn't meant for and had it work just fine? I get that water pressure is real, but let's be honest, a lot of people fix leaks with tape and it holds for years if you wrap it right. The whole point of duct tape is that it's supposed to be a quick patch, not a permanent solution, but sometimes a quick patch is all you need until you can get a real plumber out. Plus, not everyone has the money or time to replace a whole pipe right away. If you wrap it tight enough and put on a few layers, it can handle a surprising amount of pressure. I've used it on a hose bib before and it didn't leak a drop for two summers until I finally replaced it.

Opted for a local credit union over a big bank last month for my checking account

Actually it's not quite that simple... a lot of it depends on what you're watching. Some of the longer form stuff on YouTube like documentaries or video essays will hold attention for 5 or even 10 minutes if the hook is strong enough. But for quick TikTok style clips yeah 2 minutes is definitely pushing it. People scroll past anything that doesn't grab them in the first few seconds. Even 30 second ads feel too long when you're just trying to get to the next cat video.

My choice between a stick burner and a pellet smoker last summer was brutal

Did you get high quality lump charcoal for that stick burner, too?

Spent $150 on a 'groundhog' auger bit for rocky soil and it's already bent

Wait, people actually run water on auger bits? I always thought that was just something people said to sound smart on forums. Guess I was wrong about that one, good to know.
