Spent $350 on a disability lawyer and they got my claim approved in 4 months after I spent 2 years fighting alone

That money hurt to pay upfront but looking back it was the BEST investment I ever made because they knew exactly which forms to fill out and what doctor notes to ask for, has anyone else had better luck using a lawyer vs doing it solo?

The lawyer just knew how to navigate the system's dumb paperwork traps that always tripped me up.

@lisar14 that hits hard. The whole system is garbage honestly. They set it up to be confusing on purpose, like they want you to mess it up so they can deny you. I've seen people lose out on stuff because one box was checked wrong or a deadline was missed by a day. It's not fair at all. So good on your lawyer for knowing the tricks. Having someone who actually understands how to play their stupid game makes all the difference. You shouldn't have to jump through those hoops in the first place though.
