The day my digital nomad setup crashed in a Bangkok cafe
Last week I was working from a coffee shop in Sukhumvit, feeling all smug with my portable monitor and noise-canceling headphones. Then my laptop just went black - totally dead, no warning. I spent 4 hours running around Bangkok trying to find someone who could fix it, but nobody had parts. Now I carry a backup Chromebook in my bag and it has saved me twice already. Has anyone else had their main work machine die in a foreign country?

Nah, just adds more stuff to worry about losing or breaking.

I read somewhere that backup laptops are becoming a digital nomad must-have, kinda like travel insurance.
