My coworking space in Medellin actually fixed my focus problem
I was skeptical about paying $120 a month for a desk when my Airbnb had wifi and a table. Two weeks in, the 3 pm slump was still hitting me and I kept grabbing snacks from the shared kitchen. Then I realized it was the noise, other people typing and taking calls gave me this low buzz that made my brain lock in. Now I drive 20 minutes every morning just to sit in that exact room. Anyone else find that their productivity tanked when they tried to go full remote and solo?

The snack thing is a trap, but for me it was the opposite problem. I started working from a coffee shop and got so wired on caffeine that my notes ended up being pure chaos, like half-baked ideas with no follow through. Your body gets used to the background hum, right? Then when you go back to silence, your brain just starts screaming at you. It's almost like the coworking space becomes a Pavlovian trigger, you walk in and your brain goes "okay, time to work" without you even trying. The drive is part of the ritual too, it gives you that buffer to switch from "home mode" to "work mode" that you lose when you roll out of bed and open a laptop.
