Can we talk about the worst three-day stretch I've ever had with a 6.7 Powerstroke
Last Tuesday, a truck came in with a no-start, and after replacing the fuel pump, I found a cracked high-pressure fuel line that took me a full day to source. The next day, the new line leaked at a fitting, and I had to pull the cab to properly reseat it, which is a 6-hour job by itself. Has anyone else had a simple repair turn into a multi-day nightmare because of one hidden secondary failure?

Look at it this way, you found the real problem and fixed it right. That extra day saved the customer from a tow truck call next week when that line fully blew. Sometimes the job just takes what it takes, and a cab-off repair is the only way to be sure it's done for good. Calling it a nightmare is a bit much when you actually solved it.

True, @danieltaylor. A real fix beats a quick one.
