Shoutout to the old guy at the antique store who schooled me on border errors

I mean, last month I was flipping through a 1910 atlas at a shop in Columbus and mentioned how the state line looked off. This retiree next to me just goes "that's Ohio's Toledo Strip mistake, they kept printing it wrong for 20 years." He then pointed out three other boundary errors I never would've caught, including a county in Nebraska that only existed on paper for 6 years. Has anyone else had a random stranger drop map knowledge like that, or am I just lucky?
