The $9 flashlight holster that outlasted my $80 one
Picked up a cheap nylon holster for my streamlight at a hardware store in Boise last March just to hold it while I was on a ladder. The expensive leather one I'd been rocking for work kept sliding off my belt, drove me nuts. Five months later the leather one is in the drawer, the cheap nylon one is still going strong. It's got this little retention strap that actually holds the light snug, and the clip hasn't bent at all even after getting caught on door frames daily. I've dropped it onto concrete twice and the holster's got a scuff but no tears. Anyone else found that the budget version of a simple gear holder beats the premium one for real daily abuse?

Bullshit, cheap nylon stretches out and the stitching rots way before any decent leather wears in.
