I always used a terrible belt for my EDC and didn't realize it

For two years I carried a heavy multitool, a flashlight, and a spare mag on a cheap fashion belt. Last week at a job site in Austin, my pants literally started falling down because the belt sagged so bad. A guy lent me a stiff nylon rigger belt and suddenly nothing flopped around or dug into my hip. Has anyone else dealt with gear pulling their pants down before they switched to a real carry belt?

I always used a terrible belt" - man, that was me too. I was one of those guys who thought any belt would work, so I just grabbed a cheap one from Target and called it good. But after a day carrying a flashlight and a Leatherman, my pants were slipping and everything was digging in, and I finally got a stiff nylon belt and it honestly changed everything.

Oh man, same boat. I grabbed a cheap leather belt from a department store and within a week it was sagging and looked like a used dog leash. Switched to a basic 1.5 inch stiff nylon belt from a surplus store and it was like night and day. Actually holds my pants up and keeps my IFAK from flopping around.
