I added a $12 pill organizer to my work bag and it fixed my 3pm crashes
I keep a small sling bag for job site days and last month I started packing it the night before with my chargers, a pen, my tape measure, and a cheap pill case I got at Walgreens for $12. What surprised me was that the small morning and afternoon slots forced me to actually take my allergy pill and a snack on schedule, and my 3pm energy crash on site in Denver basically disappeared. Now I want to know what small daily item you all added to a bag that ended up doing more than you expected, because I clearly missed something for years.
My version of this was a cheap carabiner clip on my bag strap so my keys and water bottle live there instead of getting buried. Sounds dumb but not digging around for keys at a job site gate saved me actual minutes every day. The pill thing makes total sense too, because the slot is already there staring at you so you just do it. I threw a few granola bars in the side pocket of my pack for the same reason and the 2pm slump got way better once I was eating something real instead of vending machine junk. It is wild how the small stuff you see every time ends up fixing the problem you kept ignoring.
