I finally bought a hardware security key and it just saved my entire business email
Dropped about $50 on a Yubikey a few months back after reading about phishing attacks... honestly thought it was overkill. Last week, someone sent a fake login page to my work email that looked exactly like Google. My password manager filled it in, but the key wouldn't work on the fake site... it stopped the login cold. Without it, they would have had everything. I'm still shaken up. Has anyone else had a close call that made a security purchase feel worth it?

Ever wonder, like @piper_wells65, if a password manager alone is enough?

Switched to a password manager and 2FA after my old email got broken into years ago. The password manager stopped me from reusing the same weak password everywhere, and the 2FA code just wouldn't show up on a fake login page I almost fell for. It felt like a hassle at first, but now I see it as my digital seatbelt.
