Tried a polycarb plate in my TKL build and it changed my whole view on flex

I always thought stiff aluminum plates were the only way to get that perfect crisp typing feel, lol. But I swapped in a 1.5mm polycarb plate last week on a whim after a friend in the discord kept raving about it. The board went from this super rigid clack to a much softer, bouncier sound, especially on the longer keys like the spacebar. I honestly thought it would feel too mushy, but the flex is actually controlled and makes bottoming out way less harsh on my fingers. Now I'm thinking about trying a half plate for my next project, anyone else find polycarb worked better than they expected?

Oh come on, is it really that life changing? I mean, it's just a plate, not a whole new typing philosophy.

Then combine it with a decent keeb and you'll never go back.
