Showerthought: I finally got my stabilizers to stop rattling with a trick from a YouTube video

I was building a 65% board last week and the spacebar was driving me crazy with that hollow plastic sound. I tried clipping and lubing, but it still rattled. The video from a builder in Portland said to put a tiny piece of band-aid under each stabilizer wire end inside the housing. I did it, and the difference is night and day. Has anyone else tried this hack, or is there a better way?

Honestly thought that band-aid trick sounded kinda janky at first. Used to be a die-hard holee mod guy for fixing stab rattle. Tried your method on a cheap board last month and it actually works way better than stuffing the stems with foam. The fabric dampens the wire ends without making the keys feel mushy at all. Might switch to this for all my builds now.

Remember when we all used to lube stabs with that thick grease? Made everything feel slow and gross.
