PSA: That cheap stabilizer lube is doing more harm than good
I put dielectric grease from Home Depot on my Durock stabs last week and now the spacebar feels like mush. Turns out you really need something thin like Krytox 205g0 for the housing and a thicker grease only on the wire ends. Had to take the whole board apart to clean it out with isopropyl. Anyone else mess up their stabs with the wrong lube?

@noah917 sounds like you tested the theory firsthand, guess it depends on how picky you are about feel.

Wait, wait wait, I saw a video where some guy used Super Lube on his stabs and swore by it, but then again he also said you could use vegetable oil in a pinch so maybe don't trust that guy. Is the dielectric grease really that bad, or did you just use too much?

Vegetable oil? That guy probably lubes his car engine with crisco too. Dielectric grease isn't bad, just a particular beast. I used it once, put on this thick, gloopy layer like I was frosting a cake. Stabs sounded like I was stepping on a wet mouse.
