Local electronics store added keyboard parts. How do I get them to carry more variety?

Elm Street Electronics put up a small display with Gateron switches and some PBT keycaps. It's mostly reds and browns, which is fine, but I'm after something clicky. Talked to the owner, and he said sales have been slow so he's hesitant to order more. Anyone have success getting local stores to expand their inventory?

Maybe ask if you can set up a tester station for clicky switches. Seeing interest firsthand might convince him to stock a few.

Man, that's a familiar struggle. Local stores always play it safe with the basic switches. I've had the same talk with my own local spot, and it's like pulling teeth. Rounding up a few friends who want clicky stuff could show there's real interest. But then again, convincing store owners is half the battle.
