My score finally hit 800 after a decade of work, and it feels weird.

I remember when I was 22 and my score was in the low 600s after a few dumb mistakes... just got the alert today and it's 802. It's a nice number, but honestly, it doesn't feel as big as I thought it would after all that time. Has anyone else hit a big goal and felt kind of... flat about it?

Ever think maybe the chase was more fun than the catch? Like @price.jake said, the real win is the easy loan later, but I get feeling flat after the long grind.

Ever wonder if the number just stops mattering once you fix the stuff that got you there?

Honestly, that's wild to me. I mean, hitting 800 is a huge deal. It's proof you fixed your mistakes and stuck with it for ten whole years. That's not just a number, it's a real sign you got your stuff together when a lot of people never do. Maybe it feels flat now, but wait until you go to get a loan or something and see how easy it is. That's when it'll really hit you.
