After three back-to-back Zoom calls, I started imagining everyone as puppets.
Got any ideas for stories where tech makes human interaction feel staged?

Honestly I kinda feel the opposite sometimes. Those clunky VR meeting spaces with avatars can make a simple chat feel more real, because you actually have to turn your head to look at someone. It forces a physical cue we totally miss on flat video calls.

Had a similar thing happen in a VR project review. Turning to face someone when they spoke made arguments less tense, weirdly. We could read body language better even with basic avatars. Ended up fixing a design flaw faster because the talk felt more natural.

Agreed, those cues add something (even with basic avatars).
