Why does nobody talk about the real cost of those fancy load moment indicators?

I dropped nearly $8,000 on a top brand LMI system last spring, thinking it would be a game changer for safety and precision. Honestly, it's been more trouble than it's worth with constant calibration issues in the cold. The crew and I spend more time babysitting the sensors than actually trusting our own rigging and signals. Has anyone else had a similar experience and just gone back to the basics?

Wow, I was all for them until my system froze up last winter.

Did you try the insulated sensor covers they sell for winter work?
