Am I the only one who deals with family always asking for beauty advice?

It's nice to help, but it gets old when every chat turns into a free consultation. Some see it as bonding, others as a burden. How do you handle it?

Ugh, tell me about it. My family now treats me like a 24/7 help desk for every lipstick and sunscreen question. I’ve thought about just sending them a booking link and an invoice for my time, you know? It’s like, can we just have one dinner where someone doesn’t ask me to diagnose their skin over the garlic bread?

What is it about family dinners that turns us into free skincare search engines? Last week my aunt tried to show me a bump on her elbow during dessert, like I'm WebMD with better eyeliner. I started joking that my consultation fee is one plated dish and strict no-questions-asked clean up duty.

Honestly started keeping my phone out with a medical site pulled up as my go-to move. Just pass it over and say "the experts are right here" while reaching for more potatoes. It kind of politely points out how weird it is without starting a fight. Now they mostly just send me links to ask my opinion later, which is at least an improvement over the dinner table diagnoses.
